The Practitioner Training Program is designed to make available the basic knowledge and skills required to become a Certified  Intuitive Feng Shui Practitioner. As one completes this program, they are trained and prepared to obtain a business license and practice the art of Feng Shui in the capacity of a business or residential consultant. To receive your Practitioner Certification, one must completes all 4 courses of study and projects required. The Training program offers a series of 4 sessions to complete the Practitioner’s Certification Program. (See enclosed information packet) Programs are offered 2 times a year and classes are limited to 8 –10 students.  To register for this program please complete enclosed form and mail or fax to Design Wisdom-Feng Shui, 995 New Hope Drive, Draper, Utah 84020 or fax to 801-571-3405.  After registration form is received, an interview will be set up to review your goals, and determine how you may benefit from this program. Once you are accepted, a deposit to hold your space is required. (See payment schedule)  If there is no space available in the current session, your name will be place on a waiting list for the next available space in a session.

Admission Requirements for All Students

1. Anyone 18 years of age or older are allowed to apply for the practitioner program. Anyone under 18 years of age must have parental consent. Parents will be required to sign a consent form and will be required to attend initial interview with such minor. 

2.Students are interviewed and enrolled upon instructor’s approval. Each session will have between 6-10 students to ensure optimum learning.

3. Each Student must adhere to strict code of ethics and honor before they will be admitted into the program.  All students are expected to display professionalism at all times. No rudeness, alienation, arrogance, or gossiping will be tolerated.  Any behavior not in keeping with the ethics of Design Wisdom will be dismissed immediately. Refunds will issued according to schedule listed below. Dismissal will be entirely up to the instructor’s discretion.

4. Attendance is required to complete certification program, unless prior arrangements are made.  Make time to attend. If a class or classes are missed, you may take the class again in the next session provided. All sessions must be completed within one year from the time you begin, or else certification process must begin again.

5. Due to different method of teachings by Feng Shui Instructors and the overlaying of Feng Shui methods, no credit can be given for classes already taken by instructors other than those at Design Wisdom—School of Feng Shui.

6. Session must be paid in full prior to the beginning of the first session.  All fees and classes must be paid in full before a certificate will be issued.

Tuition

Tuition for the certified Practitioner program can be purchased as a package or individually.  The 4-class package tuition is $2800. The programs are each  individually priced at $600 each and the internship program is $1200.  Each session must be paid in full prior to the first day of class. The internship program is available to all previous certified practitioner who want extra experience in fieldwork and business knowledge.
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required upon registration to hold your position within the class. The balance tuition of each classes is due before the first day of class, unless prior arrangements are made. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

Refund Policy

If for some reason a student is unable to complete training, tuition may be refunded by the following guidelines:

1. A three business day cooling-off period, commencing with the day an enrollment agreement with the applicant is signed or an initial deposit or payment toward tuition and fees of the institution is made, until midnight of the third business day following such date or from the date that the student first visits the institution, whichever is later, during which time the contract may be rescinded and all monies paid refunded.

2. After the three day cooling off period, the withdrawn or dismissed student shall be refunded within thirty days according to the following schedule:

a.  If a student withdraws or is dismissed before the scheduled session begins, a full refund minus the $100 deposit will be refunded.

b.  If a student withdraws without prior notice to the beginning of the session, the student is entitled to a 50% refund minus the $100 deposit. 

c. Withdrawal or dismissal Refund Fee with prior notice

If no prior notice is given of withdrawal, no refund will be given.

Grading
Grading will be done on a Honor, Satisfactory, and Unsatisfactory scale.  You will be tested and graded on the following criteria.

1. Feng Shui basics, 5-element theory, yin and yang theory, ba-gua, chi adjustments.

2. Journal

3. Project

4. Professionalism on the Field Sites

5. Final Test

Students are encouraged to ask for their progress report at all times.  A record will be kept of all students enrolled and who successfully complete the program. A record will be given to the student at the end of each session.

Business Referral Service

Design Wisdom-Feng Shui has a referral network for all its qualified Certified Practitioners. This service allows you a link on the website or a bio page on its website—www.designwisdom-fengshui.com.  It is your responsibility to follow through on this link process. Design Wisdom-Feng Shui also has an intermittent need for qualified practitioners, and these practitioners will be called on an -- as needed basis.*Design Wisdom-Feng Shui does not guarantee employment to any of its certified practitioners  Design Wisdom-Feng Shui is also associated with the International Feng Shui Guild and the Utah Chapter Feng Shui Guild. The practitioner must be actively enhancing their Feng Shui skills.

A written agreement must be signed by student and representative of institution clearly stating the requirements and conduct of the students who will be accepted by the school These include the rights of the student and the school.

Practitioner Training Program Description

The Intuitive Feng Shui Practitioner Training Program is designed to make available the basic knowledge and skills required to become a Certified  Intuitive Feng Shui Practitioner. As one completes this program, they are trained and prepared to obtain a business license and practice the art of Feng Shui in the capacity of a business or residential consultant.
To receive your Practitioner Certification, one much completes all three courses of study and projects required.

Complete program would include:

• 150 hours of completed study

• 4 Level Study

• Student / Apprentice—Journeyman—Seasoned Journeyman/Intern

• After One year of Practice in Mentor Program--Practitioner/Consultant

• 3 Home Case Studies (Approximately 3 hours each study)

This will include:

• The class and the instructor, as class field trip, will facilitate a personal visit and evaluation to each student’s home.*If  student’ s homes are out-of-area, a home of the instructor’s choice will be provided within the local area to fulfill requirement of program. (Maximum class size limited to 6-10 to receive maximum attention and learning potential.)

• 1 Personal Case Studies, of the student’s choice, to be completed by each student with the guidance of instructor.

• A notebook and project will be due at the end of the program, profiling your amazing creative and empathic skills.

• Classes may be taken individually or all together to complete program.

• Payment Program Available and Visa and MasterCard Accepted

 Text Studies will include:

BEGINNING CLASSES/Apprentice

(Certificates of completion issued after each segment completion)

• Introduction and History of Feng Shui

• Basic Explanation and understanding of The Land Form, The Compass and Flying Star Form, and the Black Hat Form styles of Feng Shui. Each class will build, integrate, and layer each of these schools of Feng Shui

• Identifying and profiling of the 5 elements   and the Yin and Yang of a home

• Basic Knowledge of the Four Pillar Profile method and Ming Gua

• Identifying house energies (Ba-gua), floor plan situations, furniture arranging, Environmental Consciousness

• Practical Applications of Feng Shui, Client Interviewing, Color Application, Feng Shui Traditional Cures

• Environmental Consciousness as it applies to Feng Shui

• Beginning Work For the Intuitive Practitioner

• Journal Work

INTERMEDIATE/ Journey Man  CLASSES

Prerequisite: Must test out for Beginning Feng Shui

• Flying Stars Feng Shui

• Introduction to Four Pillar Profile method and Flying Stars Method and Ming Gua

• Feng Shui and its relationship to the Chakras of the body

• Feng Shui and its relationship to Oil Therapy

• Feng Shui and its relationship to Stone Therapy

• Dousing and EMR fielding testing

• Esoteric Feng Shui and Transcendental Feng Shui 

• Meditation Skill enhanced as it applies to the Secret Reinforcements of Feng Shui/ Spirit Work to open up Third Eye to help become an intuitive practitioner

• Journal Work

 $600 (Approximately 30 hours)

 Advanced/Seasoned Journeyman Classes

Quantum Mind Intuitive Work

Prerequisite: Must test out for Beginning and Intermediate Feng Shui

•  Behavior Modification Methods

• Psychic and Intuitive Development as it applies to Feng Shui

• Auras and Psychometric

• Spiritual Development and Ethics as it applies to Feng Shui

• Esoteric Feng Shui and Transcendental Feng Shui

Internship-Mentorship Program

This will include:

• The class and the instructor, as class field trip, will facilitate a personal visit and evaluation to each student’s home. (Approximately 3-6 home studies)   (Maximum class size limited to 6- 10 to receive maximum attention and learning potential.)

• 1 Personal Case Studies, of the student’s choice, to be completed by each student with the guidance of instructor.

• Reasonable phone Mentorship for 1 year  and involvement in Business Referral Program

• A Feng Shui Design Project will be due at the end of program to showcase your abilities for Advanced Certification Certificate

• Business information on how to get your business up and running.

$1200 --class times vary, depending on class size  (longer if needed individually)
Certificate of Program Completion issued upon completion of this program.

*The internship program is available to all previous certified practitioner who want extra experience in field work and business knowledge. Must be able to pass off  prerequisites to enter the program. Private tutoring available to do so at $45 an hour.

Design Wisdom-Feng Shui is owned and operated by Mary Shurtleff

Mary is the author of “A Reference Guide for the Students of Feng Shui.”  She has also recorded several audio CD’s entitled, “Quantum Mind Feng Shui--Opening the Third Eye of Consciousness-Projecting Dreams into Reality—AND-- If You Can Dream it, You Can Be It, a Weight Management /Self Esteem Tool designed to help you transform your mental and physical image of self

Mary is the South West Regional Director- International Feng Shui guild and on the Education Committee for the International Feng Shui guild. Mary owns and operates Design Wisdom-Feng Shui in Salt Lake City, where she does private consulting and trains  practitioner/coaches  in the basics of Feng Shui and the Intuitive arts.

Mary has been in the Metaphysical  field since 1989. Mary has certified in the Form School, Eight Mansions, and Flying Stars with Master Peter Leung. She is continuing her studies under Master Peter Leung and considers him her master. Mary is also certified in the Black Hat School of Feng Shui, as well. Mary has had advanced geomancy training, the detection of electro-magnetic energy and geopathic stresses, with Dominique Susani of Spain and also has attended the China Studies Program in China with Helen and James Jay. Other teachers whom she has had the opportunity to study with are Lillian Too, Tao Tan, Sharon Stasney, and Michael Scott Kelley. Mary is a Certified Six Sensory Practitioner Òwho continues her studies with Sonia Choquette, world-renowned spiritual teacher and psychic of Chicago, Illinois. She is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, who trained under the legendary Virgil Hayes and Betty Finnas of Salt Lake City, Utah.
